What is the idea behind PanelVA?

The primary purpose of PanelVA is to develop panel members to better understand the trends and patterns affecting the mobile users like you. In other words, to provide cutting edge market research of consumer behaviour using the mobile phone as a platform. Just as television uses ratings to determine which programs are the highest rated and most watched, PanelVA uses the knowledge of its members’ mobile usage / web browsing habits to determine the popularity and importance of various applications on the phone as well as mobile web sites. Companies typically use this market research to make informed decisions regarding their mobile marketing strategies.

Who can join PanelVA?

Any one who is 18 and above! All participants in PanelVA must be at least 18 years of age and capable of entering into a binding agreement. You must also own or control a mobile phone or device that is compatible with the PanelVA software and access the Internet from your mobile device. Check to see if your mobile device is compatible.

If I access the Internet from my mobile device occasionally, can I still participate?

Yes. It is necessary that all types of users participate in PanelVA. As long as you have the ability to access the Internet from your phone and do so occasionally, you are eligible to join the panel and receive its member benefits

I checked my eligibility for PanelVA and it says that my phone is not currently compatible. When will I be able to participate?

We are constantly working to add more types of phones to our list of compatible devices. If you checked “yes” to receive notification when your phone is compatible, we will contact you as soon as you are eligible to participate.

I’ve never installed anything on to my phone. How do I install the software?

Installing the PanelVA software on to your mobile phone or device is easy. After completing your online registration (either through your mobile phone web browser or via a PC) and accepting the terms and conditions of our Privacy policy you will be directed to the software download page.

Direct Installation via mobile web browser: (if you have accessed PanelVA.com directly through your mobile web browser)
The installation process will begin and the software will automatically be installed on your device. Some users may be prompted to restart their phone to complete the installation.
Installation via PC web browser: (if you have accessed PanelVA.com through your PC web browser)


The application will be downloaded as a small executable file on the PC. Simply transfer this over to your phone via Bluetooth or via the PC to Mobile cable provided by the phone manufacturer. 


Installation via SMS Message received directly on your phone: Users will receive an SMS message from Panel Va, the message will contain a link to the application, once the user clicks on the link, the installation process will begin and the software will automatically be installed on your device

Choose any of the three options mentioned to install our application and simply use your phone as you normally would. The software will have no impact on your phone’s performance. Once completed, you will receive a confirmation message saying ‘Installation Successful‘

Are you monitoring my phone calls and text messages?


Definitely Not! We are not monitoring any phone calls or the contents of your text messages. We only collect data on the web sites you visit using your mobile device’s web browser, generic hardware and application information. Occasionally we may capture incoming SMS numbers for ONLY those SMSs which are coming from third party promotion companies/game shows/tv shows/sporting organization etc.

How long do I have to participate?

Participation in PanelVA’s community is ongoing. We require a full 30 days (from the date of successful installation as a panel member to receive incentives. Every month that you stay with us as a member you will continue to receive exciting rewards. Should you ever decide to stop participating, you may do so at any time. Simply follow our uninstall instructions to cancel your participation.

Will participating in PanelVA cost me anything?

Depending on your data and messaging plan, you may or may not incur additional charges by participating in PanelVA. Installing the PanelVA software and any subsequent upgrades incurs the same charges you would incur for visiting a web site on your mobile phone. If you have unlimited access to data services and aren’t charged anything for surfing, then these installations should not incur any other charges. If you are on a data plan that charges you on a pay-as-you-go basis, then the time spent installing the application may be charged to your account. The application is very small, so charges should be minimal. On an ongoing basis, the PanelVA software uses your phone's Internet connection (GPRS) to send data about your mobile usage behaviour to PanelVA. If you have an unlimited data plan, you will not see any other charges; however users paying for data on a pay-as-you-go basis will incur additional charges. The charges will be minimal i.e approximately Rs.5/- per month.

How do I know if the software is installed?



When you successfully install the software on your phone or mobile device you will receive a prompt to restart your phone. If you see this prompt the application is successfully installed on your phone.
After installation go to MENU >> Tools >> Manager or Application Manager and if you see VA.EXE then you have the application installed on your phone.

If I receive a pop-up message advising me that an upgrade is available, do I have to upgrade my software?

PanelVA will deliver new versions of our software to our panelists, as we are continually improving our software. Hence it is strongly recommended that you upgrade the software as soon as possible. If you choose not to upgrade your software, your membership may lapse and you may lose access to your benefits.

What if my information, including my email address, changes?

If you have installed our software and completed the registration process successfully, you can visit PanelVA’s member section and click on "My Profile" to make changes to your information. At any time you can also alert us to any changes to your personal information by emailing us directly.help@panelva.com

What happens if I get a new phone?

If you replace your existing phone or get an additional phone that you would like to add to your account, you can update your information by logging into your PanelVA account and clicking on “My Phones.” There you can update information about your current phone, add new phones, or remove phones from your account.

 How do I re-install the software on my phone?

Simply login to your PanelVA account and click on “Re-install Application” and select the correct phone in step 2. You will then begin the installation on your phone or via the PC.

Please Note: PanelVA’s commitment to quality customer service is a high priority. PanelVA will make every commercially viable effort to respond to your questions or comments within 48 hours. Why am I asked for a my phone serial number?

To ensure your privacy we only ask for your phone number in order to send you the location of the application as an SMS. Your phone number is not used for any other purpose. For all other purposes only your serial number is used. This ensures that your private information is not misused.

I have signed up for the panel but haven't received my confirmation email, what do I do?

Please check your "Junk" mail folder, if the email is in your "Junk" mail folder please do whitelist us in order for you to get future communication regarding your incentives.

What if I don't receive my incentives?

We will do everything in our control possible to mail out the incentive on time using a reliable source (India Post), however once the incentive is mailed out its out of our hands (you can make sure we send the incentives to you promptly by giving us your accurate mailing address).

How do I get my referral incentive?

Referral incentive checks are mailed out once every three months for all people you refer who have stayed with us for at least a month. Any referee who stays with us for less than a month is not counted towards your referral incentive. You can check the number of eligible people you have referred by logging into your account.

What kind of data will you be collecting from my phone?

As mentioned in our privacy policy we do not collect any personal information i.e. contact lists etc. neither do we observe any phone calls or personal SMSs. We only collect your web surfing urls, applications used, hardware configuration information, marketing SMSs, audio/vidoe/image files. What if I am on roaming, how can I stop the application from transmitting data?

In order to stop the application on transmitting data simply go to the VA application form (Menu >> Installations >> VA) and change the VA Server setting from "Enabled" to "Stopped". Once you want to come back simply change the settings from "Stopped" to "Enabled".

How do I become eligible for monthly sweepstakes (lucky draw)?

In order to be eligible for sweepstakes entry, you will have to remain a panel member for the entire month and we should receive data at least 15 days in a month. The winners will be announced on the 10th of the following month via the email provided during registration
